Lizz + Sasha // Belvedere Banquets // Peacock Feather Theme // Elk Grove Village, Illinois Wedding Photography

In light of today’s holiday, I’d like to start by saying THANK YOU. To all of our amazing clients. Our blog followers. Our families. Our friends. Your support means more than you will ever know!

What an AMAZING year we had, and there are LOTS of reasons why I loved this wedding and why it was so special to me.

I’ve known Lizzy for a really long time and when she told me she was getting married at the same venue I got married in, I think I definitely squealed. Probably even did a little dance. I have nothing but INCREDIBLE things to say about Belvedere Banquets. Funny thing is that I got married there a whole THREE years ago, and when we walked in to shoot in the lobby, one of the girls that works there totally recognized me from helping me plan my wedding there. Um, yea. Your memory ROCKS girl.

Ok, ok. Just like you, I have family to visit and lots of food to attend to, so I’ll leave this short! Here’s a list of the fabulous vendors!

Katie + Tim // A Pavilion at Orchard Ridge Wedding // Rockton, Illinois Wedding Photography

I know I say this every post, but seriously WHERE do we begin???

We met up with Katie + Tim last fall for their amazing Engagement Session and have been anxiously awaiting their wedding all year!!! Pavilion at Orchard Ridge is an AMAZING venue. If there’s one thing to know about Julie, its that the girl loves her some country. It was an amazing change of scenery from our more common ballroom setting, so that was super fun to play around with.

FUTURE CLIENTS. Make time for portraits. We got to shoot A LOT at this wedding, which was amazing for us because it gave us time to get some of the more creative portraits. YES, there are like a zillion Bride + Groom portraits in this post, but trust me when I tell you there are plenty more. It was sooooo hard to narrow them down because some of these are new all time favorites.

Alright, enough talk!! Onto the fabulous vendors that made this day amazing, and then onto the photos! 😀

Instead of “Bridesmaids” and “Groomsmen”, both Katie + Tim had mixed groups. So here are Katie’s “Bridesmaids + Bridesmen”.

Aaaand the other group! Tim’s “Groomsmen + Groomswomen” 😀

Ok, so I have to say. KUDOS TO TIM. You see those doors that are currently blocking him from seeing his bride? HE MADE THEM HIMSELF!!!! Major kudos.

Yes, they made that sign too. 🙂

This part of the ceremony was SO UNIQUE. Here’s an excerpt from Katie describing its importance…

“The Love Letter/Wine Box ceremony – we have a box that has a bottle of wine and two wine glasses that will be on a table at the ceremony. We will have each written a letter to each other expressing why we fell in love with the other person. These letters will be placed in the box and then we will seal the box shut. This box will be opened on our five year wedding anniversary, at which time we will open the box, drink the wine and read the letters. We will then write another letter, explaining how our love has grown for the other person and add this to the box with the previous letters. This tradition will be continued every five years. But there is another purpose for this box. If we are ever doubting our marriage and considering walking away, we need to open the box, drink the wine, read the letters and remind ourselves of why we fell in love in the first place.”

Right after the ceremony, K+T walked over to an open area to have a moment together as husband + wife before coming back to greet everyone. Seriously, could not have posed it better myself 😉

LOVE me some cowboy boots! 😀

Seriously, do not have a heart attack when you wake up on your wedding day and see an overcast day. We had clouds all day (pretty dark ones actually) and the lighting was just DIVINE. Weather is something we can’t control, so we just get to EMBRACE whatever we’ve given 😉

Whenever we told Katie to kick up her heel, Tim would think we were talking to him. This happened numerous times through the day and was hilarious!

TIM! I promised you I would put it in the blog and I don’t break promises!! 😉

For favors, the made homemade Jam. I may or may not have taken home a few extras 😉

The winners of the anniversary dance! I wish I could remember the number of years, but it was very impressive. And i just adore how this shot captures them in the middle of the dance floor with the entire crowd gazing at them and applauding them. LOVE BUTTON.

K+T we love you guys!! Best wishes!!! <3
